Auto-Sync & Bulk Device Management: EZ Plus Update Highlights

These updates are available with version 7.3 of the App Store apps (version 13.3 binary) and the latest web portal.

1. Auto-Sync for Bulk Device Linking Across Multiple Sites

Deploying and managing thousands of Apple TV devices has never been easier. With the new Auto-Sync feature, administrators can link multiple Apple TVs to their EZ Plus management account across different sites—without the need for time-consuming, one-by-one configuration.

What’s New with Auto-Sync?

  • Bulk Device Linking with Few Clicks: Now you can link thousands of TVs across multiple sites at once — no more manually connecting devices one-by-one.
  • Updated Application Configuration Generator:
    We’ve revamped our App Config Generator to support seamless integrations with most major MDM providers, ensuring your deployment is fast, efficient, and compatible with leading MDM solutions.
  • Available in the TVs Tab:
    You’ll find the new Auto-Sync option in the TVs tab, accessible through the left-hand navigation bar of your EZ Plus management account. Admins can quickly retrieve unlinked devices, map them to the right sites, and complete the setup in no time. Visit our how-to page to learn more.

2. Bulk Deletion for Slides, Playlists, and TVs

We’ve also added a bulk-delete feature to simplify housekeeping within your EZ Plus account. Whether you’re managing slides, playlists, or devices, you can now easily select and remove multiple items in one go.

How Does It Work?

  • New Selection Button:
    In the Slides, Playlists, and TVs tabs, you’ll now find a selection button in the lower right-hand corner of the screen. Use it to select multiple items and delete them all at once.
  • More Control, Less Hassle:
    This new capability will save you time and effort by streamlining the cleanup process for outdated or unused content.

3. Improved Memory Management for the TV App

In this release, we’ve also focused on performance improvements for the TV application, particularly when using the standalone weather slide.

  • Increased Stability:
    We’ve optimized memory management in the TV app, resulting in smoother operation and fewer crashes—especially when displaying the weather slide for extended periods.
  • Enhanced Reliability for Critical Displays:
    Whether you’re running the weather slide in standalone mode or as part of a playlist, the improved stability ensures a more reliable display for your audiences.
